To receive Priority Classification, Application Materials must be on file before January 1, 2010

$60 non-refundable Application Fee per student (checks payable to CMDS)
- Records Release Form Download
Submit this form if your child is currently enrolled in another school/program (including a day care or parents' day out)
- Birth Certificate
Include a copy of your child’s state certified birth certificate
If your child has had any evaluations, such as academic, psychological, or speech and hearing, please include a copy of the results with the Application Materials

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
When should I apply?
Christ Methodist Day School accepts applications year round for the upcoming school year and future school years. It is best to apply early, since certain grade levels and Early Childhood sections fill up quickly.
What are the birthday cutoff dates?

Students entering Pre Kindergarten must be 3 years old before June 1 of the entrance year

Students entering Junior Kindergarten must be 4 years old before June 1 of the entrance year

Students entering Senior Kindergarten must be 5 years old before June 1 of the entrance year

Students entering First Grade must be 6 years old before June 1 of the entrance year
Does Christ Methodist Day School offer priority admittance?
Yes. Priority information must be on file in the Admission Office by January 1 of the child's entrance year to receive priority status. Applicants are given priority based on the following criteria:

How many students are enrolled at Christ Methodist Day School?
Currently, Christ Methodist has 350 students in Pre Kindergarten through Sixth Grade enrolled for the 2009-2010 school year.
What schools do Christ Methodist students go to after graduation?
Christ Methodist students matriculate to many schools within the Memphis are middle schools. The following graph shows the schools that graduates have attended for the past five years.

Do Christ Methodist students wear uniforms?
Students in Senior Kindergarten through Sixth Grade wear uniforms at Christ Methodist. Approved vendors are Parker Uniform and Land's End. Students in Pre Kindergarten and Junior Kindergarten wear play clothes. Visit the Parents page of the website to view the Uniform Policy.
Are scholarships available at Christ Methodist Day School?
Yes. Christ Methodist offers need-based scholarships to students with contracts on file in Senior Kindergarten through Sixth Grade. Families interested must complete a School and Student Service for Financial Aid form, which can be obtained from the Day School Office. The Student Life Committee of the Christ Methodist Board of Directors reviews the anonymous files and awards monies to families accordingly. All scholarship information is kept strictly confidential. Christ Methodist Day School awards scholarships to families that qualify financially regardless of race, color, national, or ethnic origin.
Can I come visit the school?
A campus visit is very helpful in determining if Christ Methodist Day School is the right school for your child. You are welcome to come and tour Christ Methodist at any time. Please call 261-2157 to set up an appointment. Visit our website often to learn of upcoming Open Houses.
What is the student/teacher ratio?
In order to provide the most individualized educational experience for your child, Christ Methodist places importance in keeping our class sizes small.

Parking is available in the lot off of Grove Park beside Beaty Gym.
The Admissions Office is in the Day School Office. Follow the signs for the Day School Office into the courtyard, which is just south of the Wilson-Ross Education Building.
