Mrs. Michelle Askew - PreKindergarten
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11
Michelle Askew graduated from Central High School here in Memphis, and earned her B.S. in broadcast journalism with a minor in English literature from East Tennessee State University. She also worked at WREG News Channel 3 as a news production intern.
Michelle did graduate course work in the department of education at the U of M, concentrating in early childhood curriculum and instruction, and brought seven years of teaching experience to Christ Methodist when she joined our faculty in 1997.
She and her husband, George, are the proud parents of son Porter, who is a fifth grader at CMDS. In addition to teaching and spending time with her family, Michelle enjoys shopping, reading, and assisting at her church with their television ministry. She names the Biblical character David as her inspirational hero “because he lived a colorful life with many highs and lows and all he ever really wanted was to be pleasing to God.”
