Mrs. Linda Patterson - Junior Kindergarten

Linda Patterson has lived in Memphis since she was a young girl. She attended the University of Memphis where she earned a B.S. in education. Her major was in child development. Before joining the Christ Methodist faculty, Linda was the assistant director of a local day care center and a library supervisor at the U of M.
This beloved teacher has been a part of the CMDS early childhood program since 1985, using her gift with the "little ones" at both the PreK and JrK levels. Linda continues to stay abreast of educational trends and developments by attending various workshops and meetings.
Linda and her husband, Billy, have two married sons, Andrew and Adam, both of whom are CMDS graduates. Linda keeps busy by walking, golfing and traveling. She also enjoys spending time with friends and family, which includes three precious grandchildren, and her two Labs.
Monthly highlights: Spring has popped into our rooms in many creative ways. Our letter Uu emphasis will be on Spring things we see up in the sky such as birds, kites and butterflies, or things seen underground such as worms, roots, and rabbits. During Vv week our young scientists will experiment by erupting volcanoes. We're also excited about our make believe Vet "pet center" in the Discovery Room. A couple of activities for our Ww week will include watermelon math, weather wheels, and dressing up for Wacky Wednesday. We will celebrate completion of the alphabet by holding a JK Yard Sale in the courtyard. The end of the year will be a busy time as we prepare to host Open House, Grandparents Day, Field Day and our grand finale the JK Sharing Program!
