

Mrs. Leslie Morgan - First Grade
"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be known to God." - Philippians 4:6
For the past twenty years Leslie has taught first grade at Christ Methodist Day School. She was raised in Memphis and graduated from the University of Tennessee earning a bachelor of science degree in education. Additionally, Leslie is trained in the Slingerland Method. Prior to teaching school she worked as an Area Director at Vanderbilt University and for Time Magazine in New York City. Leslie has the distinction of being named in Who's Who Among America's Teachers, and in February 2003, she was Memphis Teacher of the Week. Leslie has received the Martha Washington Medal for History in Education, and is a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, an international honor society for key women educators. Currently, she is serving as the First Vice President for her chapter.
Leslie and her husband, Colby, have three children who are Christ Methodist Day School graduates. She attends Second Presbyterian Church, and enjoys reading, cooking, running and spending time with her family.
Our Bible verse for the year is Hebrews 12:2
"Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith."
