Mrs. Lisa Bruno - Teacher's Assistant

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 4:6-7

Before joining our staff as a teaching assistant, Lisa was already quite active in the school community, substituting frequently and serving on the Parents Association Board and as a room mother. A life-long Memphian, she earned her BBA in marketing management from University of Memphis and spent nine years working at National Community Services, a school fundraising company. She served first as an administrative assistant to the CEO and, upon graduation in 2000, was promoted to Vice President of Publisher Relations and Marketing.

In 2005, Lisa decided to become a stay-at-home mom and enjoy more time with her family. Her husband, Ted, is a Christ Methodist Day School alumnus (Class of '87). The couple has one son, Patrick, who is now in first grade.

When Lisa is away from the classroom, she enjoys reading, scrapbooking, watching movies, spending time with her family, and playing with her two dogs, Rose and Bill. She is also actively involved at First Baptist Church, where she teaches pottery, assists with children's Sunday school, and helps with Vacation Bible School.
