Mrs. Julie Reynolds - Fifth Grade

"Only fear the Lord and serve Him faithfully with all your heart; for consider how great are the things He has done for you." - 1 Samuel 12:24

Born in Ft. Smith, Arkansas, Julie Reynolds has lived in Memphis since 2001. She graduated from The University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. In 2006, Julie completed a Master of Science degree in Instruction and Curriculum at the University of Memphis.  Before joining Christ Methodist Day School, her teaching career spanned five years, including four years at Elmore Park Middle School.  She holds the distinguished honor of being chosen 2001's Outstanding New Teacher in Shelby County, Tennessee.  Since 2005, Julie has been teaching fifth grade language arts at CMDS.  One of her favorite parts of the day is the devotion time spent with her students.

While not teaching she spends time with her family, husband Eric, and three children, Lake, Bennett, and Ava Grace. Julie and her family enjoy outdoor activities, including spending time at the beach. She recently ran the St. Jude half-marathon for the second time. The Reynolds are members of Christ United Methodist Church.

Wow, our food drive was a success. We collected 335 cans of food for the Mid-South food bank. I am very proud of all our members for participating.
Save the pull (pop) tabs from your soda cans. We will donate them to the Ronald McDonald House of Memphis.
I am excited that the NEHS will be starting a recycling program here at CMDS. There are 6 recycling totes located behind the maintenance building. The honor society members will be collecting the recycling from the teachers' classrooms and taking them to the bins each week. Everyone is so excited about this!
