

Mrs. Cathy Short - Technology Integration Specialist
"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. " - Romans 8:38-39
Cathy was born and raised in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She lived in several different states with her military husband before settling in Memphis in 1992. Cathy attended Oral Roberts University and earned a bachelor of science degree in education from Arkansas State University. Cathy had eighteen years of teaching experience before joining Christ Methodist Day School in 2000. She was a classroom teacher for preschool, kindergarten, first, fifth, sixth, and eighth grades. Additionally, Cathy has taught remedial reading and math, Gifted and Talented programs, and computer classes. She taught in schools in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Illinois, Hawaii, and Tennessee. In addition to being the Technology Integration Specialist at CMDS, Cathy is the Education Director of AOK.
Cathy was widowed eighteen years ago, and is the mother of a twenty-year-old son. She also calls her ten-year old Boston Terrier, Shelby, a member of the family. Cooking, decorating, scrap-booking and other crafts are among some of Cathy's many hobbies. She is an active member of Cornerstone Church.
