Connections
Connections
Connections for the upper grades is held on Mondays,Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Our program is designed to help students with different learning styles achieve their best. Weekly and daily communication with classroom teachers provides coordination with their curriculum. The students meet individually or in small groups twice a week as needed. Each child is encouraged and taught in a friendly manner.

Program Description
The Connections Program at Christ Methodist Day School is designed to reinforce classroom learning and to strengthen the students’ skills in specific areas of weakness. Students work either individually or in small groups with a Connections teacher. An annual fee, in addition to the yearly tuition, is charged for this program. A student who has been professionally evaluated and diagnosed with a learning difference may have accommodations made in the class assignments, projects, and assessments. We strive to follow the learning recommendations whenever possible.
The Connections teachers are available to assist teachers and parents concerning the learning difficulties of any CMDS student.
Students in kindergarten through second grade may be referred to the program by the classroom teacher. Students in the third grade through the sixth grade may be referred by the classroom teacher, but will also be required to have a formal academic evaluation and have a diagnosed learning difference.
