School schedules are filling up, sports are in full swing and life at home is busy. However, there is always time to make it to the movies.
Parents are often asking themselves, “What movies can I can take the family to see but also enjoy myself?” Well, here are three movies releasing in 2018 that are sure to be a hit for you and the entire family.
A Wrinkle in Time
This classic novel is getting a much-needed rethink with a modern twist. Your kids will love jumping into the fifth dimension to time travel with Meg Murray, who’s fighting to save her father from the darkness.
While you enjoy this time-tested story, you will see some A-list stars putting on a great show. This is a good versus evil plot that will have the whole family leaving the theater ready to try some ‘tessering’ of their own.
Hey, this movie could also even make your kids want to read the book! That’s education.

The Incredibles 2
Finally! The 2004 animated film is finally getting its well-deserved sequel. The action-packed and so ‘punny’ story follows a superhero family just trying to act normal. (Which we can all relate to, I’m sure.)
“The Incredibles” original was an instant classic. I am hoping director Brad Bird can somehow catch lightning in a bottle twice. Make sure the family does their homework and watches the original before popping over to the movie theater to see “The Incredibles 2.”
Releasing June 15, 2018
Mary Poppins Returns
What can I say? I have a thing for classics. This follow-up to the 1964 film invites viewers back to jolly old England to see what happens when Mary reappears to help the Banks…again.
This is a throwback film that I am sure you parents are going to love. What a better excuse to introduce your kids to the original movie – maybe with a few stories of your own childhood. Two movies for the price of one! You are welcome.
Releasing December 25, 2018
These three movies should be fantastic and fun for the whole family. Some of my greatest memories are of going to the movies with my mom, dad and younger brother. So take advantage of these parent- and kid-friendly films – and plenty of other great options – to have some popcorn and enjoy some family time at the movies!
