Policies and Procedures

Daily Activities
Activities vary according to the needs and stages of development. Infants follow individual schedules, and receive lots of one-on-one attention. Toddlers and Two's enjoy a planned curriculum that includes learning centers, thematic units, Bible stories, music, art, cooking activities, language, math, science, circle time, outside play, and rest time.

Snacks and Lunch
Parents of infants provide any formula and/or baby food required for their children. All children bring their lunch from home (microwaves are available). However, we do provide morning and afternoon snacks as well as juice and milk at lunchtime.

Fees
A non-refundable application fee of $50 per child is required with your application, in order to secure a place on the waiting list. Monthly tuition fees are based on the child's age.

Openings & Closings
Christ Methodist Day Care is open all year, Monday-Friday, 7am-6pm, with the following exceptions: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Memorial Day, July 4th, Teacher In-Service Days (Aug), Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the day after, and three days for Christmas. Parents will be notifies of any changes. Weather-related closings occur only when streets are exceptionally hazardous and/or the church is without electricity

Sickness
A Child may not remain at Day Care if he/she is vomiting, has a fever. diarrhea, a suspicious rash. a chronic deep cough, or any other contagious illness, He/she may not return until symptom-free for 24 hours and/or cleared by a doctor's visit and note.

Parental Involvement
We welcome parent participation and classroom visits. Our rooms are open to parents anytime the center is open. The Day Care is governed by the Christ Methodist Day School Board, which is comprised of committed parent volunteers.
