CMDS Celebrates 2014-15 Donors

Christ Methodist Day School has been extraordinarily blessed.

The gifts from the individuals, families and businesses listed here (Christ Methodist Day School List of Donors, 2014-15) have enabled CMDS to make in one year technological upgrades that we projected would take several. These moves include placing Promethean Interactive Boards in all classrooms and Early Childhood areas; providing a 1:1 laptop-to-student ratio in fifth and sixth grades; adding 20 iPads and a cart for Early Childhood students; and replacing aging MacBook Airs for teachers.

CMDS faculty members are attending top-notch conferences across the country to ensure they are abreast of the latest teaching methods and materials. The STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) initiative has grown substantially with exciting new kits and learning tools. We even added a 90-gallon fresh water aquarium to the Science Lab.

We celebrate our donors as we continue to soar to new heights, and are so thankful for each and every gift, including those to our memorial scholarship funds, which help provide the CMDS experience to a child who might not otherwise have that opportunity.

The 2015-16 Spirit Fund is well underway, and goals for this year are no less exciting. The current focus is on arts and sciences, and, if goals are met, CMDS students will continue to hone their creative and team-building skills in a brand-new, state-of-the-art Engineering Lab. It will be used for a weekly Encore class, as well as for special group projects.

The Early Childhood Discovery Room will be upgraded to better meet our STEAM needs for the little ones. And both the Grade School and the EC art rooms will be completely renovated to better serve our already exceptional art programs.

We hope our broad school community will continue to support the 2015-16 Spirit Fund as CMDS strives to reach even higher.
