     Native Memphian Mrs. Stone attended the University of Memphis where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education.  She was a member of several honorary clubs in college including the Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society, Kappa Delta Phi International Education Honor Society, and the Golden Key Honor Society.  Prior to joining CMDS Mrs. Stone taught a first/second grade split at The Sheperd's School.  In 2001 she took on the responsibility of teaching fifth grade to students at CMDS.  Mrs. Stone is also the leader of the Student Council Association at CMDS and has taught Slingerland Summer School for teachers. 

     Mrs. Stone married her husband, Steve, in 2003 and they have a daughter, Caroline.  She cites her Granny as her inspirational hero because she has shown her the importance of serving and giving.  Mrs. Stone enjoys reading, music, cooking, making things, spending time with friends and family, and going to the beach.
