     Christ Methodist Alumni, Mrs. Kathy DeFreece, grew up in Memphis, Tennessee where she earned her Masters in Education from the University of Memphis.  For ten years Mrs. DeFreece has taught in both private and public schools.  We are proud to have her as a part of our team for the past three years.  Mrs. DeFreece is an asset to our faculty and has the distinction of being awarded the "Teacher of the Year Award" in 2004 from her previous school.

     She has been married for nineteen years to her husband, Tom, and has three children, two have graduated from, CMDS and one is still attending Christ Methodist Day School.

When not spending time teaching or enjoying her family, Mrs. DeFreece likes to go boating or swimming, participate in water sports, and read books.
