"He who began a good work in you will be faithful to the day of completion in Christ Jesus." Philippians 1:6 Christ Methodist Day School has been blessed to have Mrs. Cheryl Bryant as their Bible Instructor since 1998. She was born and raised in Benton, Arkansas where she earned a Bachelor Degree from the University of Arkansas. In 1988 she moved to Memphis and accepted a position as fifth grade teacher at CMDS. Ten years later she became the Bible teacher and has loved it ever since. Mrs. Bryant began her teaching career at St. James Day School in Texarkana, Texas where she taught second graders. In college she was President of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority and Mortarboard. She also held Academic and Service Honoraries while at the University of Arkansas. She is a member of P.E.O. and of the Junior League. Mrs. Bryant is also a member of the Presidential Prayer Team and has attended Annual ACSI Conferences for the past eight years. Mrs. Bryant married her college sweetheart, Royce, in 1978 and they have two children, Clay and Mandy. Additionally the Bryants are the proud grandparents of Austin and Aubrey. While not teaching and spending time with her family, Mrs. Bryant enjoys traveling, reading, knitting, playing summer sports, and spending time with friends. She cites Billy Graham as her personal hero and is inspired by the hearts of the students at CMDS as they share Jesus with each other. |
