"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to
prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

Mrs. Michelle Askew joined Christ Methodist Day School in 1997 after having spent seven years teaching in several other institutions.  She is a native Memphian who graduated from Central High School and earned a Bachelors of Science degree at East Tennessee State University.  Mrs. Askew has also completed graduate course work at the University of Memphis and completed her Internship at WREG News
Channel 3.

Mrs. Askew names the Biblical character, David, as her inspirational hero.  She states that she admires him because he lived a colorful life with many highs and lows.  Mrs. Askew realizes that all David ever really wanted was to be pleasing to God.  She holds this same desire as it relates to her own life.

For the past thirteen years Mrs. Askew has been married to George Porter II and they are the proud parents of a son, Porter.  He is in third grade at Christ Methodist Day School.  While not teaching and spending time with her family Mrs. Askew likes shopping and reading.  She also assists her church on Sundays with their television ministry.
