When should I apply?
Christ Methodist Day School accepts applications year round for the upcoming school year and future school years. It is best to apply by January 1 of the entrance year to be able to attend the January Admissions Visits.
What are the birthday cutoff dates?
Students entering Pre-K must be 3 before June 1 of their entrance year.
Students entering JrK must be 4 before June 1 of their entrance year.
Students entering SrK must be 5 before June 1 of their entrance year.
Students entering 1st grade must be 6 before June 1 of their entrance year.
How many students are enrolled at Christ Methodist?
Currently, we have 325 students enrolled from Pre-Kindergarten to Sixth Grade for the 2011-2012 school year.
What is the student/teacher ratio?

What class options are there for Early Childhood students?
Pre-Kindergarten
3 Half Days - Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday 8:25 a.m. - 11:20 a.m.
3 Full Days - Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday 8:25 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.
5 Full Days - Monday through Friday 8:25 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.
Junior Kindergarten
5 Half Days - Monday through Friday 8:25 a.m. - 11:20 a.m.
Combination - Monday/Friday 8:25 a.m. - 11:20 a.m. and
Tuesday through Thursday 8:25 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.
5 Full Days - Monday through Friday 8:25 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.
Senior Kindergarten
Full Days - Monday through Friday 8:25 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.
What are the Grade School hours?
Monday through Friday 8:25 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (Morning carpool drop off
8:10 a.m. to 8:25 a.m.)
What are the options for lunch?
Full Day Pre-Kindergarten students bring their lunch to school. Students in Junior Kindergarten through Sixth Grade have the option to buy their lunch or bring it from home.
Are Before and After Care offered?
Yes. Christ Methodist has a wonderful Before and After Care program called Alpha and Omega Kids. The program begins at 7:00 a.m. and ends at 6:00 p.m. Students may drop in or select a 3 or 5 day plan. The AOK program also offers care during most holidays, such as Fall Break and Christmas Break. Is there a summer program?
We offer SOAR Summer Camp for rising Junior Kindergarten through Seventh Grade students. SOAR offers weekly thematic activities, as well as many week long special enrichment classes. Students may attend the 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. day camp and extend the hours to 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., if needed. Additional information about SOAR can be found here.
Do Christ Methodist students wear uniforms?
Students in Pre-K and JrK wear special shirts the school provides every Thursday and play clothes every other day of the week. Students in SrK through Sixth Grade wear school uniforms every day. Uniforms may be purchased from Parker Uniform or Land's End. Please visit the Current Parents button on the home page to view the Uniform Policy.
Where do Christ Methodist graduates go for middle school?
Christ Methodist students matriculate to many of the Memphis area independent schools. The following graph shows the schools that graduates have attended cumulatively over the past five years.
