Board of Directors

In addition to serving as the governing body and policy setting team for the Day School, the CMDS Board of Directors also oversees the policies and administration of the Day Care Center, Parent’s Day Out program, Alpha & Omega Kids (before, summer & after school), and the Maxine Moore Music Academy. The head of school reports directly to the Board and is responsible for the faculty and staff of each of the programs listed above.

The Board's fifteen voting members - parents, grandparents, and school community leaders - serve three-year terms and are led by a chairperson who serves a one-year term. Members attend monthly meetings and participate in a day long retreat in early September to set goals for the upcoming school year.  Most members serve on one of four committees: Executive, Finance, Marketing, or Student Life.
