Early Education Program Teachers
Part-Time Positions (12 p.m. to 6 p.m.) and Full-time Positions (8 a.m.-5 p.m. and 9 a.m.-6 p.m.)
The CMDS Early Education Program provides high-quality educational care for children ages six weeks through two years, in a nurturing Christian environment. Teachers work as a team to provide students with multiple learning experiences in academics, emotional development, physical growth and spiritual guidance. They work with our Administrative Directors in a team approach to educating and caring for our children.
Duties include assisting with all programming and class activities. Teachers are responsible for the safety of our students as well as their physical and emotional needs. Teachers are also called upon to build strong relationships and maintain frequent communication with EEP families.
Qualifications and Requirements
Teachers must be able to help children with their daily development needs. This includes feeding infants, assisting children with snacks and lunch, changing diapers and potty training. They must know first aid and be able to administer it. They also must attend staff meetings and in-service trainings throughout the year.
All of our teachers represent Christ Methodist Day School and the Early Education Program both on campus and in the community, so a commitment to professionalism is essential. Most importantly, our staff must possess a gentle demeanor, be observant of students’ needs and have an overall love of children.
