Alumni Coordinator

Christ Methodist Day School seeks a part-time Alumni Coordinator to help manage the school’s relationship with its alumni network. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining an alumni/alumni-parent database, making corrections as noted, researching returned mail and researching missing addresses.
  • Building upon CMDS Alumni Facebook page.
  • Seeking out alumni news to publish at cmdsmemphis.org.
  • Helping to establish an alumni giving program.
  • Establishing certain touch points with alumni.
  • Coordinating alumni events.
  • Inviting alumni to special traditions at school and to speak/perform/volunteer as opportunities arise.
  • Engaging alumni parents as opportunities arise.

Qualifications and Requirements
All candidates for the position must possess the following: excellent written and oral communications skills; excellent organizational skills; the ability to maintain a confidential atmosphere; experience working with Office, Word, Excel and other computer experience; and enthusiasm for the mission of Christ Methodist Day School. Experience as a CMDS alumni or the parent of an alum is a plus.

AOK@CMDS, Summer@CMDS Office Coordinator

Christ Methodist Day School seeks an Office Coordinator for its after-school and summer camp programs: AOK@CMDS and Summer@CMDS. The AOK office coordinator will represent CMDS both personally and professionally in accordance with the mission and goals of AOK@CMDS under the supervision of the director. Duties include: keeping up with paperwork; organizing and scheduling camps and summer activities; communicating with teachers on a variety of Enrichment Camp offerings; coordinating groups; and implementing program activities for children, which will provide for spiritual, social, academic and emotional growth and will adhere to the policies and regulations set forth by the AOK program. Safety and the overall welfare of the children, families and communities are of primary importance.

Qualifications and Requirements
All candidates for the position must possess the following: a high school diploma, at minimum; excellent written and oral communications skills; characteristics of leadership, responsibility, patience, dependability, maturity, integrity, positivity, motivation and enthusiasm; the ability to maintain a confidential atmosphere; and experience working with Office, Word, Excel and other computer experience. (Experience with Adobe CC is a plus, though not required.)
